Requirements for Skilled Workers in PEI:

  • A full-time, non-seasonal job offer in TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupations.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience in the last five years.
  • A valid work permit.
  • Diploma or post-secondary education (minimum of two years).
  • Age between 18 and 59.
  • Adequate proficiency in English or French (CLB/NCLC 4).

Requirements for Skilled Workers Outside Canada:

  • A permanent, full-time job offer from an employer approved by PEI’s Immigration Office.
  • Two years of relevant work experience in the last five years.
  • Higher education (minimum two-year program).
  • Sufficient language proficiency (CLB/NCLC 4).
  1. Critical Worker Program
  • Requirements:
    • A full-time, non-seasonal job offer from a (PEI) employer in TEER 4 or 5 occupations.
    • At least six months of continuous, full-time work experience with the )PEI(
    • A valid work permit and legal status in Canada.
    • Minimum of a high school diploma.
    • Age between 18 and 59.
    • At least two years of full-time work experience or relevant education in the last five years.
    • Valid language test results with a minimum of CLB/NCLC 4, issued within the last two years.
    • Sufficient financial resources for immigration and settlement in )PEI(.
    • Proof of intention to reside in )PEI(.

      • Industrial Butcher – NOC 94141
    • At least one year of full-time work experience related to the offered job.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum language score of CLB/NCLC 4.

  1. Business Impact Category

This category has only one subcategory: Work Permit. It is for individuals who wish to invest in a business in Prince Edward Island.

Application Process for PEI Immigration

  1. Review the Application Guide: Start by carefully reviewing the relevant guide to understand the requirements and process.
  2. Create an Expression of Interest (EOI) Profile: To start the process, you need to create a profile in the Expression of Interest (EOI) system for Prince Edward Island.
  • Profile Details:
    • You will need a valid email and identification information (such as a passport number) to create the profile.

  1. Submit a Permanent Residence Application: After receiving the nomination certificate, submit your permanent residence application to )IRCC(.
  2. Notify of Changes: Report any changes in family status, employment, or contact information to both PEI Immigration Office and )IRCC(.
  3. Continue Employment: You must remain employed with the same employer listed in your application until your permanent residency is approved.
