Who can apply
- Plan to live anywhere in Canada except for Quebec province
- Already live in Canada (can be physically outside at the time of submission eg vacation. But your primary residency must be in canada)
- Authorized to work full-time in Canada through
- Valid work permit (excluding study permit holders)
- Maintained status
- Public policies
- NOT count: study permit holder / biz viz
- Out of status & unauthorized workers all the following met:
- Residence in Canada when applying
- Entered Canada legally on or before dec 16, 2021 and lived here continuously
- Had a work permit at some point during that period
- Not inadmissible to Canada for reasons other than, overstaying, working/studying without authorization for yourself or an accompanying family
- Not made a refugee claim
- Not under a removal order
- Not in Canada on a study permit.
- Min language level (clb/nclc) of 4 for all skills either English or French
- English: celpip general/ ielts general, pte core
- French: tef Canada, tcf Canada
- Min education Canadian high school
- ECA for non-canadian education high school or any other higher formal education
- XP or training
- At least 18 when gained
- NOC for meeting the education or experience
- Childcare
- Home childcare provider (NOC44100)
- Childcare
Foster parent excluded
- Early childhood assistants (NOC42202)
Educator, day care teacher, supervisor excluded
- Home support
- Home support workers/caregivers (NOC44101)
- Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates (NOC 33102)
- One of the following (recent & relevant)
- Work experience within 3 years prior to submission
- Min 6 months experience continues full-time (in-or-out of canada)
- Work experience within 3 years prior to submission
You can have two part-time jobs provided that the combination adds up to at least 30 hours threshold for 6 months. Like 2 15h/w simultaneous jobs for 180 days.
- Min xp must be in 1 or combination of both nocs of the same pilot
- Not gained while studying full-time or self-employed
- Long-term sickness and parental leave excluded
OR
- Training credential within 2 years prior to submission
- At least 17 when started the education
- Be targeted towards the selected NOCs considering the exclusions
- Can be a mix of occupations within each pilot (like HCP/ECA)
- Min 6 months in duration Post-secondary level
- Full-time min 15 hours per week
- Offered mainly in an in-person classroom environment
- If obtained a non-Canadian credential ECA not required, unless using this particular program to meet education requirement.
